Salem Mennonite Church, an active congregation located approximately 44 miles southwest of Sioux Falls, SD, and just a few miles from Freeman, SD, is looking for a full-time pastor.

We love to sing! Check out our worship service videos on our YouTube channel @SouthChurchSD. We would generally describe ourselves as a conservative Mennonite congregation. We have 300+ members, with an average attendance of 134. We have a part-time Pastor of Senior Ministries who is primarily responsible for visiting senior members of our congregation and giving periodic sermons.

We are actively looking for a full-time pastor. The pastor’s primary responsibilities would include sermons, planning Sunday morning worship services, meeting with congregants, and officiating at dedications, baptisms, funerals and weddings.

Compensation will be commensurate with training and experience, and will be negotiated using the current Pastor Salary Guidelines from Mennonite Church USA. There is also currently a large parsonage next to the church the pastor and family can use. The church and parsonage are on a paved road and overlook a valley, which is rural living at its best!
